The Country code for Rwanda is 250 and area codes are not necessary in Rwanda.There is an International Direct Dialing facility in Rwanda but it should to be brought to your attention that it is liable to occasional disruptions.There is a mobile telecommunication provider in Rwanda(MTN) with a trusted reception that runs through the whole country.It should be noted that there are also mobile phones for hire in the country.
Internet facilities are also available in the established lodge houses and hotels with many internet cafés spread through the capital, Kigali and at the International airport. A post office for mailing is also open from Monday through Saturday.It is open from 8pm to 5pm up till Friday and closes at noon on Saturdays.
The media houses in Rwanda are state owned with the first private radio opening in 2004.Local dailies in English are readily available like:New Times,Rwanda Herald and Rwanda Newlines.Those published in the native Kinyarwanda and French are mostly published every 2 weeks.
The national television network,TV Rwandaise is government owned.The national radio(Radio Rwanda)is state owned and broadcasts in English,French,Swahili and Kinyarwanda.The private radio stations include:Radio 10,Flash FM,Contact Fm,City radio,Radio Izuba and Radio Maria.
