Rwanda Visa and Travel requirements

Unless you are from the East African bloc i.e Kenya,Uganda,Tanzania and Burundi,you need a visa to get into Rwanda.East African passports are available for easy travel within East Africa for a cost of $10,it should be noted that these passports are limited to East African citizens only.
However,an admissable temporary document is required from East Africans before they enter Rwanda. A yellow fever certificate is required at airports in Rwanda at arrival.Visa exemptions do exist for nationals from selected COMESA and SADC countries in Rwanda.
Transit single entry visas for upto 2 days are given at a cost of $60 at the same cost as the single entry tourist visa which is available for upto 90 days.These visas are available for nationals who do not have a Rwandan embassy in their country.Nationals of Canada,Germany,Sweden,UK and USA do not need visas for stays of less than 3 months in Rwanda.Nationals continuing their journey within 24 hours by the same flight or immediate connecting flight do not need visas provided they do not leave the airport premises.
A return ticket is mandatory for all those jetting into Rwanda.It is advisable to check with the nearest Rwandese consulate or visit: http://www.migration.gov.rw/ for more information.
